From February 19th to 20th, David Lewis, acting executive dean of the faculty of sciences engineering and technology, the University of Adelaide, together with his colleagues visited Shanxi Province and signed a cooperation agreement with our university and Shanxi Zhendong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd..

Hao Huiqin, secretary of the Party committee of the university, met with them. Wang Hongwei, deputy secretary of the Party committee and president, David Lewis, and Li Anping, chairman of Zhendong Group, signed the agreement on behalf of the three parties. Guo Lei, vice president, and Zhang Huanhu, member of the Party committee and vice President, attended the relevant conferences.

Secretary Hao Huiqin stated, the re-signing of the agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter in the cooperation between Shanxi University of Chinese Medicine, the University of Adelaide and Zhendong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.. It is hoped that the three parties will cooperate with each other in good faith, and work together to boost the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine and promote traditional Chinese medicine to the world.

President Wang Hongwei hoped that the three parties will continue to deepen the cooperation in scientific research, talent cultivation, academic exchanges and other fields with a more open and tolerant mindset, a more pragmatic and realistic attitude, and a more courageous and adventurous spirit, conduct in-depth research on the theory and clinical application of TCM via modern science and technology, explain the unique diagnosis and treatment methods and mechanism of TCM in the language of modern science, and research and develop innovative products, so that the treasure of Chinese medicine can be given a new lease of life.

Professor David Lewis introduced the history, faculties, subject advantages and cooperation projects of the University of Adelaide and said that the University of Adelaide is willing to carry out multi-dimensional exchanges with Shanxi University of Chinese Medicine in education, scientific research and culture, and actively promote win-win cooperation.

Professor David Adelson, researchers Yuka Harata-Lee and Shen Hanyuan from the University of Adelaide also visited the university. Leaders of the relevant departments attended the conferences.
